A sustainability survey was conducted in 2019, and the results were reviewed and adopted into the comprehensive sustainability plan that was implemented in 2020.

The Carleton Satisfaction Survey includes a number of departmental reviews/surveys within the main survey. Students are then asked to review and respond based on their interaction and knowledge of each department included. The main survey is distributed annually to all students for engagement.


A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:

As outlined a number of key questions were asked to determine concern regarding sustainability and subsequent action being taken. Of all respondents, 44% of students stated that they were concerned about energy and sustainability to a 'great extent' and 47% 'somewhat concerned'. 80% of students responded that they were at least Somewhat happy with the extent to which sustainability is being cultivated on campus.
