Carleton made a commitment to purchase green cleaning products and compostable materials and a full list is included in the link below. We made a shift in cleaning product that is more effective and so we are simply not using as much.

Included in Janitorial Paper Products is the Compostables Store orders, where campus departments can purchase smaller quantities of compostable plates, forks, cups, etc. at a bulk rate. This is reimbursed through a department charge.

For FY17, we counted additional janitorial products like vacuum cleaner bags and trash bags but limited to paper products for FY18.

GEI is the Greengard Environmental Institute certification for our floor finishes.
CRI is the Carpet and Rug Institute.

$4,314.56 is the total of other products, vacuum bags, etc. that are certified byt not included in this report.
