  • Lime Painting - painting - 7 as and when employees all over $25.68

  • Paladin Security - 22 full time employees. 20 employees under $25.68 and 1 employee over $25.68

The total compensation includes min 6% or 3 weeks vacation, 9.31% employer contribution to the Municipal Pension Plan, health, dental, STD, LTD, Life insurance coverage, etc. Overtime worked is paid at 2X the salary rate. These provisions are over and above the employment standard requirements.

FOR PART 1: 


The calculation is based on the below:


All regular full time and temporary employees are paid over the living wage.

For hourly paid (as and when needed) employees, on April 30, 2024 paydate 4 employees were paid an hourly rate of $22.86 + $1top up pay +$1.43 vacation pay = $25.29 pay rate. An additional $0.75 shift differential and OT was paid on some hours bringing the hourly rate over the living wage rate.

- Total employees paid = 734 Faculty + 440 Reg. Admin/Exempt/Staff+82 Temp. Admin/Exempt/staff = 1256 payments.

The 4 employees are newhires, paygrade 08, step 1, moving to Step 2 upon further training.

This calculation does not include student workers.

Effective July 1, 2024 all employees in this group will receive a 3% salary increase as per current Collective Agreement.
