There are dedicated Evo car share parking spaces available at the Main campus.The university also actively encourages carpooling by providing preferential parking for those willing to participate. Registered carpool groups have the advantage of seeking parking in designated and free parking spaces on Campus.

A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:

Charging stations for electric vehicles are located in Lot 1, Lot 3 and Lot 7. There is no fee to charge your vehicle but payment for parking at the posted rate is required. The charging stations are located in ""premimum"" parking locations closer to buildings making them more desirable parking spots. We have a total of 12 EV charging ports.

Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:

Employees are provided the opportunity to work remotely reducing the trips required to campus. There are shower and bike storage on campus to encourage cycling. Carpoolers are provided free parking in preferential parking locations on campus as detailed above. Students are provided a Upass (Univeral Transit Pass) to access public transportation, including the bus, seabus and Translink. By encouraging the use of a UPASS student transporation rates are reduced. In an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, CAPU also provides a monthly transportation incentive towards the cost of a transit pass for all MoveUp staff travelling by public transport.
