A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

Capilano University has recently completed a review of the Fleet including strategies to evolve to more electrification of the fleet. As well the next Security contract will require provision of a hybrid rather than gasoline only powered vehicle. Trades vehicles in past were downsized and in future will be experimenting with the use of older electric cars for trades use as the campus has short distances required for most of the trades personnel purposes. Vehicles also are shared to minimize the total number of vehicles required.
