A brief description of the institution’s certified green cleaning program:
Janitorial Services at CAPU are provided by BEST, a third party provider utilizing green cleaning principals under the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) Green Building (GB) certification with honours. The Green Cleaning Policy and guide as it applies to CAPU has been included as an attachment below. The policy covers environmental standards in the purchasing of chemicals, tools and smallwares, equipment as well as processed relating to dilution control, hand hygiene, floor and carpet care, equipment use, etc. Further environmental control processes are included in the Green Cleaning training and guide documents.
Additional sustainability measures implemented by BEST include their use of Ostrom Climate to audit and offset their carbon emissions for the previous decade and the recycling of all nitrile gloves and face masks via a third party vendor.
