Alumni: A formal program has been created to encourage alumni (rather than staff and students) to contribute to local charities and non-profit organizations tackling critical needs in Metro Vancouver and beyond. The Capilano University Alumni Association recognizes that CapU Alumni have a passion to drive change through service to the community. In 2021, we introduced the CUAA Community Sponsorship Program to encourage alumni to contribute to local charities and non-profit organizations tackling critical needs in Metro Vancouver and beyond. The objective of the program is to support the development of healthy, vibrant and inclusive communities and demonstrate the spirit of giving back and making a tangible difference in the lives of others. Through this program, CapU Alumni can apply for funding to support an alumni-affiliated charity, non-profit initiative or service that will benefit the local community. Additional details have been provided within the Community Partnerships inventory.
