Yes

A brief description of the sustainability walking map or tour:
The CapU 50 Trail is an interpretive trail designed and built collaboratively by CapU students, alumni, faculty, facilities staff and community neighbours. The trail includes a series of new and recontoured nature paths which link together campus garden walkways and the Seymour River Greenway Trail forming a 1.6 km loop through the Capilano University North Vancouver campus. Initially concieved by the CAPU Earthworks program, the trail was funded as part of Capilano University's 50th anniversary celebrations. The intent of the trail is to connect the community to nature showcasing campus sustainability initiatives, ecosystems, natural history and indigenous history. The trail is identifiable using both online and hard copy materials, the latter including campus wide posters and external wayfinding (see image below). Sustainability elements are advertised along the trail using QR codes at specifically chosen locations.

The trail is open to the community and was created to:

- better appreciate the natural beauty, ecology and sustainability practices of Capilano University;

- enjoy physical activity in the outdoors

- promote mental health through easily accessible immersion into nature

- take advantage of the diverse teaching and learning opportunities embedded in our campus environment.

The trail supports environmental curricular learning by allowing classes to access the wetland, identify different plant assemblages, locate native and non-native species and participate in a bird monitoring program etc.
