A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Sustainability is an integral part of every student orientation program. Whether they are new, domestic, transfer, international, or returning students, all have the chance to participate in community and orientation activities.
During orientations, information regarding sustainability is worked into the e-Learn module that is sent to 100% of new students. This includes information about biking to campus, using their free compass card, and the community garden. During all orientation activities, recycling stations are visible and are encouraged. Additionally, the orientation includes access to the student portal which includes all information relating to support services available at CAPU, including mental heath, physical health, community groups, EDI initiatives, etc.
