Launched in late fall 2024, the new cogeneration (CoGen) system at Canadore College represents a significant advancement in energy efficiency and sustainability. Although it has yet to produce energy, starting this week, it is projected to generate a technical output of 350 kWh, equating to an estimated 2,606,100 kWh per year when operating at an 85% theoretical capacity. This innovative system integrates advanced controls and redundancy features, aligning with Canadore College's commitment to energy resilience and sustainable development.
