Does the institution have a program designed to incentivize the use of public transportation?:
Yes

Description of the institution’s programs designed to incentivize the use of public transportation:

To help minimize plastic waste, Canadore College has transitioned to digital student IDs, promoting a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach. In addition, full-time students are eligible for a contract negotiated discounted bus pass, which encourages the use of public transportation throughout the academic year. This initiative not only reduces environmental impact but also supports students in making more sustainable commuting choices.

As part of this effort, North Bay Transit now operates a Dynamic Dispatching system at the North Bay campuses and throughout the City of North Bay, included with your Digital ID. This convenient public transit booking and tracking system is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and on Saturdays from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. To ensure timely pick-up and drop-off, rides must be booked before 11:00 PM on weekdays and before 9:00 PM on Saturdays, allowing for service completion before the end of operating hours.
