The Village Flex Space:

The Village Flex Space at Canadore College offers a versatile, collaborative environment for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. It is designed for various activities, including workshops, meetings, and group projects. The space is adaptable, equipped with modern technology, and supports both formal and informal gatherings. It has a seating capacity of 100 people.

As a recent example, the space was offered to the Ontario Woodlot Association who hosted a Cultural Mindfulness Training to their members.

Description of the institution’s publicly accessible facilities that help people meet their basic needs:

Canadore College’s on-campus dental hygiene clinic, operated by Dental Hygiene faculty, staff, and students, is open to the public and offers a variety of services, including:

  • Free dental cleaning for individuals aged three and older
  • Referrals to medical doctors and dentists
  • Smoking cessation
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Mouth guards
  • Full oral examination (teeth, gums, and soft tissue)
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Radiographs and duplication of radiographs
  • Professional teeth whitening

The Centre for Pulmonary Rehabilitation (CPR), a vendor of record with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, has been offering pulmonary rehab in North Bay for over 15 years. Thanks to funding from home oxygen and respiratory services, CPR is able to provide free services to all clients in need, including:

  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation
  • Better Breathers
  • Active at Home Program

CPR’s head office is located in North Bay, ON, with a second office in Vaughan, ON.

Description of the institution’s publicly accessible facilities that provide cultural services:

Harris Learning Library:

Harris Learning Library, located on Canadore College's College Drive Campus and shared with Nipissing University, is open to the public. While its primary focus is supporting students, faculty, and staff, community members can also access resources and services, which include meeting spaces.

Description of the institution’s publicly accessible facilities that provide recreational services:

The Education Centre Trails at Canadore College’s College Drive Campus offer scenic, accessible paths for walking and outdoor learning. Surrounded by nature, these trails provide a peaceful environment for students, staff, and visitors to explore, relax, and connect with the natural world on campus. 

These trails are included as part of Discovery Routes and the Trans Canada Trail system.
