Transportation Management Association (TMA)
Transportation Management Associations are private, non-profit, member-controlled organizations that provide transportation services in a particular area, such as a university district. This allows college officials to work with nearby businesses to offer services such as rideshare programs and shared parking facilities. Camosun's Transportation and Parking organize a TMA with other local organizations, such as the University of Victoria, Vancouver Island Tech Park, Royal Roads University to support walking and cycling improvements, transit service improvements and discuss etc.
Transportation and Parking Management Committee( TPM)
The role of the TPM Advisory Committee is to provide strategic counsel and advice that will assist and support in the success of Camosun’s Transportation and Parking Management Program with a particular focus on the current 3 Year Plan. The Advisory Committee will focuses on promoting and improving transportation options to Camosun, with evaluation and reporting mechanisms, advising Camosun on broader regional transportation issues, trends and activities which it should be involved in/have awareness of, opportunities for advisory committee members to share ideas/concerns and build stronger working relationships amongst each other for broader transportation related issues. Camosun's Manager of Environmental Sustainability is the chair of TPM committee, current members include representatives from various areas within Camosun as well as The University of Victoria, Municipality of Saanich and Oak Bay, Capital Regional District, Robbins Parking, BC Transit, Community Associations, Pacific Institute of Sport Excellence among others.
Vancouver Island Community Research Alliance (VICRA)
Camosun is collaborating with UVIC, Royal Roads, VIU and North Island College on an initiative labeled the Vancouver Island Community Resource Alliance (VICRA). Issues to be studied are food sustainability, economic sustainability, and aboriginal community sustainability. Camosun College has contributed most recently to the food security project. Notable work includes the collaboration on a report that proposes a plan for producing and keeping food on the island along with the creation of a land inventory and agriculture landscape on Vancouver Island designed by two Camosun students.
Canadian Alliance of College and University Sustainability Professionals (CUSP)
Camosun College is a member of the Canadian Alliance of College and University Sustainability Professionals (CUSP). The CUSP acts as a forum where best practices and information regarding sustainable initiatives, challenges and successes as well as offering networking opportunities to connect sustainability professionals and members of Canadian colleges and universities.
Vancouver Island Social Innovation Zone (VISIZ)
The Vancouver Island Social Innovation Zone is a partnership between Camosun College, the University of Victoria, Royal Roads University and community partners from Social Enterprise Catalyst, Victoria Native Friendship Centre and Community Social Planning Council. VISIZ is funded by a $201,000 award from the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation RECODE Project, a multi-year initiative that provided grants to fourteen colleges and universities across Canada and encourages students to become social entrepreneurs, while contributing to Canada’s capacity for social innovation.
“RECODE will:
•Support the development of campus-level social innovation and social entrepreneurship 'zones', along with business, community and public sector partners.
•Operate a national challenge and collaboration platform open to all post-secondary faculty and students in Canada.
•Advance society's ability to address social and environmental challenges through collaboration and innovation across disciplines, sectors and institutions.”
Vancouver island Public Post Secondary Alliance (VIPPSA)
The Vancouver Island Public Post-Secondary Alliance is a partnership of Camosun College, North Island College, Royal Roads University, the University of Victoria, and Vancouver Island University. Through a commitment to collaboration and cooperation the five institutions will join forces to further the social and economic prosperity of Vancouver Island and the province of British Columbia, including collaborating on initiatives that:
•Improve students' ability to access Vancouver Island's full range of post-secondary education and training and to seamlessly move between institutions;
•Meet the educational and regional employment and training needs of Vancouver Island and BC communities;
•Stimulate job creation and investment on Vancouver Island and in the province of BC;
•Increase the participation and success of aboriginal learners;
•Enhance the ability of Vancouver Island residents to participate as citizens of a global world by growing international education and the internationalization of institutions;
•Create new knowledge through research and innovation that strengthens the communities of Vancouver Island and beyond;
•Share resources to expand and enhance the programs and services of each institution; and,
•Advocate for post-secondary education and training for Vancouver Island, the Gulf and Northern Islands and the BC coast.
Camosun College is also a member of the Higher Education Carbon Neutral Committee as well as AASHE where they have sent a representative to three recent conferences.

A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :
Staff from Camosun College recently toured the waste and recycling facilities of UVic to learn and share ideas. Additionally, Camosun solicited advice from the University of Victoria, Royal Roads University and BC Institute of Technology while preparing the 2014-2017 Sustainability Plan.
