A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
All employees have access to the New Employee Handbook that has a section devoted to Environmental Sustainability at Camosun and tips on how employees can make changes to their daily work routine that advances Camosun's sustainable goals. Tips include waste reducation, energy conservation and alternative transportation. New employee in-person orientations happen twice a year; new employees are given the New Employee Handbook, introduced to all aspects of Camosun life including sustainability initiatives. Recycling and composting initiatives are highlighted as well as alternative transportation options and more. Additionally, the new employee internal website provides direct links to the Office of Environmental Sustainablity website where employees can gain more information on sustainable initiatives at Camosun, browse reports and publications, etc.
