Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

From Randall DeJong, Calvin Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) chair:

"I also want to make sure it's clear that there is a purposeful division of labor between the Calvin IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) and the WMRL IACUC. If a Calvin researcher wishes to use birds or mammals for research or teaching and they need to be housed, then the WMRL space needs to be used, and thus such a protocol must be sent to and evaluated by the WMRL IACUC. If vertebrates, including birds or mammals are being studied on the preserve or elsewhere in the field, then the protocol is sent to and evaluated by the Calvin IACUC. Fish, amphibians, or reptiles needed in the laboratory for research or teaching can be housed in Calvin labs, as they do not need to be housed in regulated facilities."
