The survey is administered at the end of the Kill-a-Watt competition each January to all residence hall students (See EN-1 for more information on Kill-a-Watt.)
The survey assesses the success of the Kill-a-Watt program in influencing and changing behaviors, specifically geared toward environmental stewardship. It also assesses understanding the connection between faith and creation care, while gauging student interest and knowledge of sustainability topics.
Students are surveyed during their first year in the residence halls and also in their 2nd year.

The students from each residence hall on campus were emailed the survey and asked to complete. The survey was also attached in campus-wide email news.
A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:
-Over 70% of students surveyed said that they plan on continuing a Kill-a-Watt habit changes during the semester.
-Over 75% of students surveyed said they "see caring for creation as an important part of my faith and am working to become a better steward in my daily lifestyle choices."
-Over 30% of students surveyed strongly agreed that "Kill-a-Watt helped me reflect on my lifestyle choices and how my actions impact others."
