Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
The numbers provided for this credit were taken from the 2014-2015 FAR public reports. The total # of faculty (overall and then for Sustainability-related research) were taken from the totals line at the bottom of the report. To compute the department totals, the report was run for each of the three Divisions. The total line at the bottom of the report gave the number of departments. NOTE for next year these two major initiatives should be included/captured in our data: 1. Calvin has added a significant focus on sustainability research and applied scholarship. This was adopted and approaved in AY 2015-26 and began operations in summer of 2016 - The Clean Water Institute of Calvin College. 2. The Henry Institute of has also begun a major focus on water rights and land use/rights during AY2016-2017. Kevin den Dulk took a sabbatical in fall of 2016 to study these issues.
