A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the course inventory:
The course inventory was conducted by obtaining a list of all unique courses offered during the regular term and during the Interim (January) term. Courses on those lists were designated as a "Sustainability Course" if it had the term "Sustainability" in the course name or were known by the Responsible Party to be about sustainability. Courses were designated as having sustainability components if they were identified as such by faculty in those programs or through catalog descriptions.
This draft inventory was sent to all department chairs for vetting. Several courses were added and a few courses were removed.
The number of programs with sustainability courses was obtained by counting the unique programs with sustainability courses in the above list.
