Eco-Warriors is a sustainability club, open to all students at Stan State, with a mission to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness through service and peer education. Eco-Warriors strives to empower students to participate and take up environmental activities and projects on campus and the local community. They are committed to developing an outlook to help students obtain a set of values and feelings of concern for the environment and the motivation for actively participating in environmental improvement and protection. The Sustainable garden was established as a learning and applied research laboratory in the field of Sustainable Agriculture, and to demonstrate best practices in Elementary School garden development and use. Over the years, its use and focus have expanded. Its use now includes providing critical curriculum based experiential learning platform for students through several out-of-the classroom and field activities, internships, demonstration of crop production and best management practices. We also provide scheduled tours of the facility and training activities on request.

The Social Justice in the Central Valley Conference was held November 4-5, 2022 - in person and livestreamed, hosted two days of speakers and presentations, and included an art gallery display with artist talk. Ethnic Studies Conference held March 20, 2023 created an intergenerational space with participation of high school youth, college students, faculty, and community members focusing on environmental and cultural sustainability. Indigenous Peoples Day is a holiday that commemorates Indigenous Peoples of the U.S. and beyond. Indigenous Peoples Day is a growing social movement that brings to light Indigenous cultural preservation and revitalization. The holiday is observed in various cities and states throughout the country.
The annual Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations at Stan State are a series of events that include speakers and communities who come together to learn, share, and revitalize historical and contemporary cultures of Indigenous peoples. The 2022 event focused on the arts as a form of healing and included visual works, complemented by performances of poems, stories and songs.
