A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
While some divisions of the university have had consistent practices for assessing employee satisfaction and engagement. We do an annual Campus Climate (sense of belonging, satisfaction) Survey as well as, CSUSM annually does a Customer Satisfaction Survey and an Employee Engagement Survey which goes out to all employees evaluating their engagement and satisfaction.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
Issues raised by the different surveys allows the campus to address any issues through a variety of ways: The Customer Satisfaction Survey results are given to each department and they then can use their scores to create action plans to address concerns brought up from the campus community and internally within departments.
The Campus Climate survey results are shared with the entire campus and used to address changes and efforts to make the campus more inclusive.
