Climate Action Campaign
A brief description of the campaign:
Over the past couple of years, students have been working on a variety of efforts related to climate action. We have had a series of climate strikes, including community businesses and organizations. We have also had a variety of climate related events, including a kick off climate series in Fall 2020. Lastly, the Environmental Stewards Association, staff and faculty were successful in having the President sign the President's Climate Leadership Commitment in 2023.
A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:
1. Our President finally signed the Presidents' Climate Leadership Commitment. This was an on-going goal and it was successful.
2. Two Climate Teach In's in 2022 and 2023.
3. The start of a Climate Action and Sustainability Center on campus
