We are members of the California State University Sustainability Officers network (a group of all CSU institutions), the SoCal Sustainability Officers Network (this is open to all southern California institutions and meets on a quarterly basis). In addition, we are members of UC/CSU Energy Partnership and the Energy and Utility Managers Committee for the CSU.

Over the course of the last 4 years, the Sustainability Program has collaborated with our Office of Inclusive Excellence and presented at a variety of conference on the connection between Social Justice/Diversity and Sustainability. Some of these include:

Yes

Our Sustainability Manager was the chair of the Social Equity committee for the California Higher Education Sustainability Conference for the past two conferences (2018 and 2019).

Yes

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:

Through the SoCal Sustainability Officers group, we have a variety of mentoring activities that take place throughout the year, including meetings and learning activities that provide mentoring opportunities across institutions.

In addition, the CSU system has a variety of ways to help support and mentor other schools. For example, our STARS Support Group is basically a way to mentor and support each other through the process.

A brief description of other inter-campus collaborative efforts around sustainability during the previous year :

We have been collaborating on a sustainability and diversity initiative across the CSU institutions. This has included joint planning for conference presentations (CHESC and AASHE) and training sessions and by providing information to the Chancellor's Offices.

In addition, on the energy side, we collaborate on the UC/CSU Energy Forums- a quarterly event that connects UC and CSU institutions with utility providers across the state.
