A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Sustainability topics are discussed during the 30 minute New Employee Orientation presentation delivered by the department of Safety, Health and Sustainability. Topics include, but are not limited to – campus recycling and waste diversion programs, campus water reduction efforts, energy usage, alternative transportation, and integration of sustainability themes and concepts into course curriculum. In addition, all new employees are given reusable silverware, lunch bag and tumbler. New employees are also given a "handbook" with information pertaining to sustainability at CSUSM.
