A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Sustainability is included in all orientation documents that go out to incoming students and families, including first year, transfer and graduate students. In addition, sustainability is represented at all orientation days- hosting a table and having conversations with students about sustainability opportunities on campus. Students also attended a session on alternative transportation options. Also, parents who attend orientation have the opportunity to participate in a sustainability presentation. On-campus housing students are given informational handouts on sustainability and all the RAs are trained on sustainability initiatives.
*Due to COVID-19, new student orientation was all online for Fall 2020. We still held virtual orientation and were able to reach our incoming student body.
