For students, Student Health and Counseling Services provides programs for counseling, referral and wellbeing:
The primary mission of the Student Health and Counseling Services Team is:
To provide quality medical care that allows students to perform optimally, physically, and mentally; and to enhance their academic and intellectual potential.
To promote and encourage personal responsibility through informed decision making regarding students' lifestyle.
To provide an environment that is culturally sensitive, compassionate, affordable, accessible and confidential.
To provide effective Health Education programs to help students develop healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices.
To enhance the academic mission through the provision of educational and co-curricular opportunities for student engagement.

The University offers employees an employee assistance program through Empathia.
Your EAP is a professional counseling service to assist you and your family members through a period of personal difficulty. LifeMatters® by Empathia, a private firm specializing in Employee Assistance Programs, is your provider. The Empathia LifeMatters® staff consists of trained and experienced licensed clinical professionals with special expertise in counseling individuals with personal problems. Five (5) counseling sessions per incident.
Available 24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week, 365 Days a Year
