A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Located on 304 acres of land, the CSUSM campus is built on a hillside overlooking the City of San Marcos. The young campus, only 26 years old, was built from the ground up and continues to grow today. We currently have 21 buildings and 1 residential housing complex with 4 buildings that house approximately 600 students. We are bordered on the north east by the Ca-78 freeway, the coast is 12 miles west and downtown San Diego is 30 miles south. We are located in North San Diego County.
Our satellite campus, located in Temecula, Ca, 35 miles north of the main campus, is just under 18,000 square feet and is rented property.
