Students in Gardening Project
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
As apart of the Environmental Policies class, a group of 18 students worked with Professor Singh to outline and create a garden used to educate the community on sustainability. The garden, located off campus at Grand Oak Elementary acts as a way for the community to learn more about sustainability as well as an opportunity to grow plants.

The target audience of this project are the members of the Citrus Heights community who will visit and engage with the garden.

A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
Students in Introduction to Environmental Science run an ongoing waste education campaign to educate their peers on proper waste disposal. Participants stand by waste and composting receptacles to explain proper sorting techniques.

Housing Sustainability Team
A brief description of the student educators program (3rd program):
The housing team at Sac State works hard to integrate sustainability into the every day workings of residential life. RA's use the community boards to illustrate different ways that students can be more conscious of their waste output, water, and energy usage. They also put on events that promote education and socialization to students such as: Black out Green On (an energy Savings competition), annual clothing swaps, and food donations for the pantry on campus.

The housing team's target audience are the students who live in the residence halls, however every student on campus is welcome to participate.
