Please note that assured reports are still subject to review by AASHE staff prior to publication, which may require additional revisions. AASHE reserves the right to withhold points for this credit if it is determined that the assurance process was clearly unsuccessful in identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors (e.g., when AASHE staff identify a significant number of issues that were either not mentioned in the completed review template or not resolved successfully).

A brief description of the institution’s assurance process:
The first round of review was conducted internally by key members of the CSUN Sustainability team. This included Austin Eriksson, Director of Energy and Sustainability, and Sarah Johnson, Lead Sustainability Specialist for the Institute for Sustainability. They thoroughly reviewed all data and responses gathered by the larger CSUN Sustainability team, which comprises members from Energy and Sustainability, the Institute for Sustainability, and AS Sustainability. During this process, they revised various credits where necessary.
To enhance the review process, the CSUN Sustainability team reached out to students from the MA in Sustainability program to identify potential reviewers for the STARS submission. Jalen Bolden accepted the role and was granted access to the AASHE STARS Platform and the review template. Jalen performed a detailed review, providing comments and suggesting corrections. We then addressed these suggestions and returned the revised template for further evaluation. After reviewing our corrections, Jalen confirmed that all issues were resolved and provided us with a final version of the template.
