A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:

CSUN has several ongoing funds for sustainability. These two primary funds are for general sustainability projects as well as larger utility conservation projects.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:

The projects funded through these two fund sources are directly from our comprehensive sustainability plan, CSUN's Roadmap to Sustainability. Each of these projects and programs in the plan were vetted by the various university departments and divisions that have oversight of particular areas.

For the Sustainability Literacy Fund a project list and cost estimates are developed based on the Roadmap to Sustainability. These projects get submitted to the budget office and they are evaluated and funding is assigned.

For the Utility Conservation Projects fund, similar to the above on how projects are selected, however the funding is set at $1.3 million and is funded through campus utilities.
