The Institute for Sustainability collaborated with CSUN's Valley Performing Arts Center (VPAC) to offer Global Currents: Celebrating world cultures and earth’s shared resources, an outdoor music and dance festival around the theme of water and global sustainability. The event culminated in a performance by the Nile Project, a collective of artists from the 11 Nile countries redefining principles of cross-cultural musical collaboration. (www.nileproject.org). Before the day of the festival the Nile Project also had panel discussions with geography and sustainability classes.
