Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes
A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
Food insecurity is defined as "being without access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food." The astronomical costs of a college education increased the number of students that are food insecure. The AS Food Pantry was implemented to address the food inaccessibility at CSUMB. Through this service, we are able to provide students with a bag of nutritious, non-perishable food.
