The Environmental Science Master of Science Program is an innovative interdisciplinary program within the Department of Applied Environmental Science offering training in science and technology in the context of environmental policy.
Located at the nexus of world class research institutes, state and regional preserves, the Fort Ord National Monument, and the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, CSU Monterey Bay is a prime location for studying the interconnection between watershed, terrestrial and marine environments. Offering two tracks, a professional internship or thesis, students have the flexibility to structure their graduate experience around their professional interests. Following completion of the program, students are equipped to pursue careers in applied scientific research, environmental resource management, environmental consulting, industry, government and non-profit organizations, environmental education, and further education in doctoral programs.
