The program we manage is created and implemented using standards and guidelines governed by CalOsha Regulations for Occupational Health & Safety.

A brief description of the key components of the custom OHSMS:

Environmental Health, Safety, and Risk Management provide the campus with occupational health and safety programs in collaboration with the University Personnel and Human Resources offices (w/ workers compensation, hazard correction, accommodations, OSHA reportables, 300 log etc.). Key component program examples are: Injury and Illness Prevention, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Materials Management, Chemical Hygiene, Biosafety, Ergonomics, and Respiratory Protection. Training for these programs and more is available through CSU Learn/SumTotal and with supplemental in-person training, especially in the science and trade work areas.

This data is drawn from our OSHA 300 reports for both CSUMB (13 recordable/ 1,404.83 FTE) and Corporation (2 recordable/ 303 FTE).
Corporation added 150 volunteers (SHRL RAs, KAZU membership drive, RON)
