Of the institution's uncertified building space, what percentage of floor area is maintained in accordance with a water management or benchmarking program? (0-100):
100
A brief description of the water management or benchmarking program:
Water meter readings are reviewed monthly by the campus Energy and Utility Director. 10 years of water usage by building has been analyzed and future targets are set using different scenarios of water use. While the "tool" (excel) may not be a formal benchmarking tool, it meets the intent of the credit to :assess performance (by use type, over a period of years), set goals (goals are set by local district regulation and water allocation, CSU Policy and State mandates), create and implement action plans, and evaluate progress." It is not cost effective at this time for the campus to purchase and use an outside benchmarking program.
Residential and food service water use was shared with Stanford and benchmarked against other Higher Education institutions.
