A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
The Sustainability TLA faculty group (with 5 members) reviewed the course offering from AY 2018 (as of Fall 2018). All courses were identified as 1 - a course that includes sustainability or 2 sustainability focused.
The results show that there are more sustainability focused graduate courses - which makes sense based on the type of graduate programs offered on our campus.
The 2019 review included a larger faculty group participating in review than last submission review - which account for a slight decrease in courses fitting either category.
How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
