A brief description of the assessment(s):
During the 2010-2011 academic year, the Student Activities and Leadership Development department held focus group meetings to determine the need for a cultural center on campus. The intent of these meetings was to assess attitudes about diversity and equity on campus and to determine the support and use of a cultural center. The following groups were invited to attend: the Black Students United, LGBTQ Students, Service Learning student leaders, and the Associated Students leadership. Students were also represented on a planning committee for the center.

The ideas, suggestions and commitment of these diverse groups of students will be taken to Senior Leadership in order to place the highest priority on funding for a Campus Cultural Center.
