A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:
A survey was sent to all faculty members consisting of several questions regarding sustainability in research. This survey will be available on the university sustainability site. This survey is prefaced by a definition of "sustainability focused" and "sustainability related" research in order to facilitate its completion.
The survey was sent out to all faculty members; tenure track and non-tenure track, on May 9, 2011 and completed on May 27, 2011. It was administered through "Student Voice" which has a contract with the university to provide survey tools and administration. A total of 300 faculty members were sent the survey and a total of 124 faculty completed and submitted the survey. A summary of the survey results will be available on the university sustainability site.
