A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
CSUMB new student orientation takes in all aspects of campus life including “TripWise” which is represented by our Transportation planner, co-chair of our campus sustainability committee. Our Transportation Planner is a member of the discussion panel for the parents and students. Students are introduced to sustainability through-out orientation and campus tours include the "green" aspects of campus. Bike rental is offered and "Otter-days Welcome Week" includes transportation to a local farmer's market started by a CSUMB graduate.
