A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
2019 Student Transportation Survey sent to 6,264 students, with 622 responding. Questions included: "How did you travel to Cal State LA each day LAST WEEK (including the most recent weekend, if applicable)?", and "If you ever drive alone or carpool to campus, please include your vehicle type." Survey takers also submitted their zip codes so average VMT could be calculated along with their associated GHG emissions factors.
