A brief description of the institution’s indoor air quality program(s) (including information about regular auditing or monitoring, mechanisms for occupants to register complaints, and action plans):

The University conducts ambient indoor air quality surveillance areas that have the potential for asbestos, lead, mold and chemical exposures. The negative exposure assessments in the science laboratories are determined by a request from a Faculty/Principal Investigator and/or student concerns. The ambient asbestos and lead investigations are prompted by visual identification of the infrastructure or concerns expressed by the campus community. The mold assessments are prompted by water intrusion episodes or evidence of water damage. The University retains on contract a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to conduct such indoor air quality investigations annually.
