A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
Sustainability is not emphasized during new student orientation but we are looking at new ways to promote it in the future. Currently, we encourage students to utilize refillable water bottles when they are on campus. 144 water bottles were given away through a prize drawing during the last orientation cycle. Instead of distributing thousands of sheets of paper that describe programs and services to new students, the information has been compiled on flash drives. 5,500 flash drives were distributed during the 2015 orientation. The flash drives contain the slides from the presentations the students experienced during orientation to allow reference at a future date.
