A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:

Since fall 2016, the Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Beach Pantry has operated as the official food pantry for CSULB. The pantry is housed in the University Student Union (USU) and provides perishable and non-perishable food items, toiletries, and school supplies for students in need.

The pantry is supported by donations from local organizations, businesses and agencies including Food Finders, Grocery Outlet, Global Electronic Technology, Inc., U Turn Lives, Long Beach Community Table, and CalRecycle.

For access to the food pantry program, students must be currently enrolled and come prepared to present a CSULB ID. Students can use the ASI Beach Pantry three times a week and receive no more than five items per visit.

For the fall 2020 semester, students can sign-up for the ASI Beach Pantry Drive-Thru Pop-Up’s via the BeachBoard announcement.
