CSULB offers a 20-unit interdisciplinary minor in Environmental Science and Policy that offers students insight on theoretical and applicable concepts of sustainability, environmental economic principles, legal principles in environmental law, and applications of natural and social sciences to solve environmental issues. The program allows students to take classes in a wide range of disciplines such as design, engineering, geography, marketing, and hospitality management. Students are required to complete 9 units (three courses) that are specifically listed as composing the program's "sustainability coursework."
