Has the institution conducted a GHG emissions inventory within the previous three years that includes all Scope 1 and 2 emissions? :
Yes

A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:

We use figures for electricity and natural gas usage at our campus to estimate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. We take each type of energy use and convert those figures into equivalent approximations for CO2 emissions, which are then added together to get the appropriate scope of GHG emissions.

Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes

A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:

The Energy Services Department at Fresno State is responsible for providing energy and GHG emissions data to Facilities Management. Facilities Management leadership must then approve the figures for accuracy before reporting the information to the CSU Chancellor's Office, who eventually reports this information to the State of California and the general public. The data provided here is the same data provided to the CSU Chancellor's Office.

A brief description of how the institution accounted for its Scope 3 emissions:

We are not able to estimate our Scope 3 emissions at this time due to lack of appropriate data collection.
