A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
California State University, Dominguez Hills is a highly diverse, metropolitan university primarily serving the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. Established in 1960, CSU Dominguez Hills is one of the 23 campuses that comprise the California State University system.
Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? | Included? | |
Agricultural school | No | No |
Medical school | No | No |
Other professional school with labs or clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) | No | No |
Museum | No | No |
Satellite campus | No | No |
Farm larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres | No | No |
Agricultural experiment station larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres | No | No |
Hospital | No | No |
The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
The Dignity Sports Health Park (AEG) takes up a footprint of 102 acres within the 344 acres owned by CSUDH. As a long-term tenant, AEG conducts its own operations and is not accounted for in terms of activities being reported on.
Another long-term tenant is the California Academy of Math and Sciences (CAMS), a charter high school operated by the Long Beach Unified School District. While their 33,116 sq. ft building is on campus property, their utility bills and operations are separate from that of the campus, and therefore they are not included in the institutional boundary.
