A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
Central Plant has attached solar panels to several golf carts and re-wired them to run exclusively off of solar energy. Almost all its carts are 100% solarized, and there are also carts from SLICE (Center for Service Learning and Internships) as well as the Vice President of Admin & Finance's office that have been retrofitted to become 100% solar as well.

The CSUDH Climate Action Plan requires all new vehicle purchases to be ZEV starting in 2025.

Majority of campus tasks are completed exclusively by golf cart as opposed to gas-powered vehicles.
