A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:
In the 2019-2020 academic year, the Parking Office tracked participation in their alternative transportation and rideshare programs and conducted an employee transportation survey. Currently 60 employees are registered for carpool/vanpool programs, 30 for the TAP Metro Discount program, and 20 participate in the zero emission vehicle permit program.
42 motorcycle permits were sold in the fall semester, but the permit does not distinguish between students and employees so this number was attributed to students only/not factored into this percentage.
Percentage of students and employees that use the following as their primary mode of transportation:
|Percentage of students (0-100)||Percentage of employees (0-100)|
|Walk, cycle, or other non-motorized mode||6.28||0|
|Vanpool or carpool||14.49||4|
|Public transport or campus shuttle||11.34||2.10|
|Motorcycle, motorized scooter/bike, or moped||1.57||0|
