A brief description of the institution's initiatives to shift individual attitudes and practices in regard to energy efficiency:
---

A brief description of energy use standards and controls employed by the institution:

Through the campus EMS system, as well as a campus wide scheduling program for classes and events, the central plant references this information to determine when building temperatures are allowed to go outside the posted range. This also allows operators to curtail building fans to reduce power consumption.

A brief description of Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting and other energy-efficient lighting strategies employed by the institution:

CSU Chico is deploying a multitude of buildings with retrofitted LED light fixtures. Major projects include the Mell Memorial Union and Laxson Auditorium buildings. The estimated reduction of interior light energy demand is projected to be 50% of the current light fixtures.

Projects for further LED installation campus-wide are constantly being phased into new projects.
