A brief description of how and when the cultural assessment(s) were developed and/or adopted:
Assessments were conducted extensively as part of the new campus Strategic Plan and Campus Master Plan. Data collection included early environmental scans, FutureFest meetings, planning workshops, and online surveys. At its conclusion, the Strategic Plan had over 750 participants and generated more than 4,000 lines of data. The planning process was characterized by consensus-building, community involvement, data utilization, shared governance, and transparency. Faculty, staff, students, and community members engaged in vigorous analysis, deliberative dialogue, and shared big ideas for the future. The planning process identified new strategic priorities for the campus, which will provide the University with focus as we aspire to achieve our new vision. The three priorities are Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; Civic and Global Engagement; and Resilient and Sustainable Systems.
Assessment of the implementation of the Strategic Plan begins Fall 2022 and will occur annually thereafter. These future assessments will assess the implementation of each strategic priority including Resilience and Sustainability: https://www.csuchico.edu/assessment/index.shtml
