Climate Leadership Initiative

Mission:
The Climate Leadership Initiative (CLI) will serve as a catalyst for multi-sector conversations that would explore and educate about the diverse approaches toward achieving climate neutrality and campus sustainability. Using the campus as a Learning Laboratory modeling sustainable development strategies; integrating curriculum and campus operations into applied learning experience and research opportunities for faculty, staff and students.
Vison:
To encourage and engage in cross campus dialogue and ideation with faculty, staff and students about approaches to campus sustainability. The CLI seeks to investigate and educate about sustainable development mechanisms that both explore and inform about best practices toward meeting campus climate commitments of neutrality and resilience.
Assemble a multi-sector campus vision for campus sustainability through shared dialogues
Conduct a gap analysis between current and idealized actions and identify progress development indicators.
Investigate innovations that will facilitate the realization of the development path
Analyze and prioritize the cost-benefit considerations of innovations that would assist in achieving the campus commitments
Provide a unified recommendation to policy decision making bodies
